Community. Columbia Heights Day Initiative is dedicated to a harmonious community, inclusive to seasoned and new residents alike, prosperous for businesses large and small and creating a spirit of community involvement.

Diversity. One of Columbia Heights' greatest assets is the diversity of its residents, businesses, and social service groups. Columbia Heights Day Initiative presents Columbia Heights Day and other community events to foster relationships between all of these groups.

Service. Columbia Heights Day Initiative believes that a successful community begins with taking personal responsibility and leading by example.

We are currently looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and talented volunteers to fill the following positons:

Latino Outreach Coordinator. An individual fluent in Spanish, who is able to develop and implement a strategy to increase participation in the festival by Latin business owners and community organizations, as well as transcribe marketing copy into Spanish.
Non-music Performance Coordinator. An individual who is able to solicit and organize performances by non-musical acts, such as dance performances, step troops, and exhibitions.
Earned Media Coordinator. A seasoned professional with contacts in local media to obtain press coverage and prominent listings for media advisories for the festival and its fundraisers.
